Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Imagine Auto of Lenexa had a Tech Night party last night. Beer,Burgers and Dyno. They had a B&M SShifter and I had it installed under 30 minutes. Pretty cool. The old shifter in comarison feels like a screw driver in a bowl of whipped cream. This shifter feels like my old direct into the transmission shifter of my Sprite. It is a definate "WORTH IT" for $250 installed. https://rennlist.com/forums/newthrea...ewthread&f=60# rockon As a side note we Dyno'd the car and it showed about a 10 HP gain after the previous work done, i.e. Fabspeed headers.exhaust & airbox + Re_Mapping. When this puppy comes off warranty they are going to install a super charger!

POST 2Original post

Excellent. I've been thinking about getting this done as well. Where is Lenexa? I've thought about adding a supercharger as well, but I still have 2.5 years of warranty to go.

POST 3Original post

Dmac - The B&M SSK is a good DIY project. 1.5 hours B&M has good instructions with pics. FYI

POST 4Original post

I am not a gearhead or a grease monkey, but I think this might be a good beginner project that I am willing to tackle.

POST 5Original post

Dmac - I am not a gearhead or a grease monkey either. In fact, I had NEVER done anything like installing the SSK before on any of my previous cars. I really think that because I did it myself, I enjoy the SSK that much more. If you decide to DIY, PM me because I have a few tips to share with you that will make it easier and will help you keep your front teeth in-tact! Seriously!

POST 6Original post

Lenexa, Kansas. Essentially a suburb of KC, I use to live in Prairie Village....wish I still did!

POST 7Original post

Thanks. We need to keep as many teeth intact here in the South as possible. I will search some of the vendors and when I get ready for my purchase, I will PM you. Thanks again for your willingness to let me learn from your frustration!

POST 8Original post

dmac, I bought my B&M recently from Brandywine. $199.00 plus shipping.

POST 10Original post

Think about a Schnell SSK. I've got one in my car. Half the price (or close), and nobody can tell the difference. I put a big thread up on Schnell a while ago. Just search for it. Best.

POST 11Original post

Anyone know of a place in the DC area that would do the same install for the same $250 price? If so, I'd be all for it. David
