Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Those of you with earlier cars (no glovebox) - where do you keep your photos of family members (i.e. nieces, etc.) in swimwear? I'm sure at least one forum member has solved this problem; any help is appreciated. Also - if you have a can of water displacement spray in your car, where do you keep that? I sometimes keep the blue-and-yellow can of awesome in my car in case I need to help someone remove and reinstall badging, but I'm too cheap to buy a fire extinguisher mount to keep it handy. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

hahaha that is funny. I spun out in the snow and bumped the rear bumper and the P O R S C H E is no longer on the car. The Carrera and 911 is still in place. I have lots of WD40 in the garage but no fire extinguisher. I have fire insurance. I like the dog you are posting. We lost our 13 yrs old Goldie Darby about 6weeks ago. We plan on getting a goldie/poodle mix in spring of 2016. Hopefully a smallish one so I can take him with me in the Porsche. Question..Does that breed of dog shed hair?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, Hurdi - thanks for being good-natured about the crap I give you. Makes it much more fun. The dog is a "Labradoodle" - in his case, labrador dam, poodle sire. He does not shed at all as far as I can tell - I've washed him three times and brushed him out, and zero fur left in the brush. The fur looks curly, like a poodle, but it's actually just wavy and very short (about an inch). Since they're crossbreeds, they are less expensive than purebreds, and they also have less proclivity toward the genetic issues from which purebreds often suffer. The breed was designed to create a hypoallergenic service dog. They are smart (like poodles), love water (like labs) and are ridiculously friendly. Totally worthless as a security asset, but he's an awesome buddy. He's about 2' high at the withers and weighs 30-40 pounds. Small enough to fit in the 996 and the Corvette; not so small that he's an embarrassment to walk, and he does not slobber/drool.

POST 4Original post

Sh#t its your dog, I thought you had pulled.. over here they cross Cocker Spaniels with Poodles and call them Cocker Poohs it sounds so wrong on many levels.. We went the extra on the 996 to get the dog a seating area in the back - sad isn't it Not sure if you Americans have to pick up after your dog but it could start a new thread "where do you keep your dog poo bag in your 996?" O_Sr

POST 5Original post

We have cats, and they don't like car rides. =)

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This dog has awesome bodily function control. He gets up in the AM, does his business in the back yard. At the end of the day, my wife or I let him back out at about 6PM. He takes care of his business, and then we head out for a walk. He has yet to poop anywhere other than his designated poop zone. I still bring a bag just in case, but he's never required one. He sleeps through the night every night. While I may have missed out on the "cute" part of getting a puppy, adopting an adult dog who was trained very well has its upside...

Cocker poo. Heh. Reminds me of the "wrong hole" video... WRONG HOLE with DJ Lubel, Taryn Southern, and Scott Baio - YouTube

POST 8Original post

If You want a dog for security, get a Dachshund. They are vicious little fockers My 3 Vizslas are bigger dogs (60-80 lbs), they might lick you to death. The little 10 lb wienerdog, well he will take your face off People are afraid of the Vizslas, I guess because they are bigger, and always bend down to pet the wiener. Big mistake LOL

Now that description and info has convinced us that is the breed that we will go for. We loved both Goldies we had, but they were both too large for the 996. Especially when Darby got older. I struggled to lift his 100pounds into the car. Then he was uncomfortable and could not turn around on the seats. BTW my name is Mike. I feel we are now on speaking terms lol.. Thanks Schnell Did you name the dog PPI (peepeeeye) pre purchase inspection? cute lol.

I guess that you can size them to order, my buddy's was about 80 lbs.

POST 20Original post

I've worked with labor-doodles and standard poodles before. Awesome dogs! I ended up with a yellow lab as my service animal. 80lbs and rides in the 911 every day. Weekly cleaning keeps the interior fur/odor free. The best $4 you will ever spend, even if you don't have a pet. (Plus a seat protector of course)

POST 33Original post

I got cockblocked by a dog last Saturday, so can't appreciate the dog pics here. True story: take a chick out to Phoenix car show and then to Majerle's. Take her home, she has two dogs. One male, one female. Male is called Major, female Barbi. We start making out, Barbi goes in the corner and lays down because she probably knows what is about to happen and wants her mommy to have some fun. Major comes up to us stands on his hind legs and starts scratching both us with front legs. I try to shoo away the ****er with my left hand but he persists. She pulls away to move him and give him his fluffy elephant toy. We resume where we got stopped, the ****er brings over the elephant toy within 2 feet and starts biting the part that has a squeaky thing in it. We are kissing and he is rhythmically squeaking the toy while starring at us. I move her to the bedroom to get away from the jealous ****, but no...he follows us in, jumps on the bed and goes on the pillow. She says "He usually sleeps on the pillow next to me, and Barbi sleeps at my feet". I say "**** my life". Edit here is a picture of offending Major and Barbi.

POST 36Original post

This is a much better thread then having to see threads about how loud a radio is and how large the wing is of a car. Not to mention how others track their cars. All boring s h i t to me. At least we get some great photos of our lovely dogs. Hunter is a fine animal. The biggest waste of space thread is "Good week in the 996 forum' the one that has almost 6000 postings.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
