This is not a probability of success.

Anyhoodle - I figured itg out - turn the car off and turn the key to the "on" position (like you are checking the oil) and it came up to where it was supposed to be.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know I read abt this and now I can't find it - The gas gauge is stuck where it was at before adding gas - I din't turn my car off when I filled it - now it docent read that I have added any more gas - neither the needle or the comp readout. I now remember that I read somewhere that you have to turn the car off b4 adding gas - that sods crazy - but I even went back, turn the car off, added more gas - (now I have no idea how much is in there) and it still say 1/4 of a tank or 87 miles. Help

POST 2Original post

I think the info you need is in the top sticky thread (the new official things to know) That's where I remember reading things about that issue Also... Who fills their car with the engine running??!?

POST 3Original post

If I don't fill my C4S all the way up after it gets below 1/4 it won't register the refill. Like if I only put $15 in or something it just doesn't register at all. But if I shut off the car, fill it all the way up, making sure to top it off even. It will finally register a full tank.
