Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a 99 and the LED's taillights have been installed since early summer.
Leading evidence: 'Install since early summer' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install since early summer' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
In general, it is a bad idea to use LED's in a system that was not designed for LED's.

Suggestion
Being that they use much less electricity, it will throw off your entire electrical system.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Are these lights any good? I think for 300$ they will make my car look way newer, anyone got these? and comments?

thank you
In general, it is a bad idea to use LED's in a system that was not designed for LED's. Being that they use much less electricity, it will throw off your entire electrical system. For example, your signals will probably blink faster, and I believe that I read in the sticky "Things you didn't know about your 996" thread a whole bunch of other problems that they will cause.
I would not do it.
All the led tail lights seem to come from the same manufacturer. There are many members here that have installed them. Do a search. They don't seem to cause significant problem. Sometimes resistors are needed.
I just installed them on my 2000. No hyper flashing and was plug and play. They aren't the highest quality but for the price my car looks a bit more modern. 300 bucks was a cheap mod.
For me they plugged right in and no hyper flash at all. Besides blowing a fuse in the process of installation, it took all of 15 minutes. Downside is now my front end looks like crap but there are ways to address that in time.

I have done LED upgrades on various different vehicles and it always seems to be a crap shoot... you may or may not experience problems, but it's up to you...
Hyper blink is a possibility, so to avoid the "potential" just purchase an electronic flasher from superbrightleds and enjoy. I have a 99 and the LED's taillights have been installed since early summer.
