Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great news, my extended warranty company (CNA) has agreed to replace my engine with a new crate engine from Porsche. Although the reason for coolant mixing with my oil may never be fully known, I'm very pleased with the outcome of this issue. This is the reason you purchase an extended warranty when you buy a used sports car. I'd like to thank Foreign car Italia of Greensboro, CNA Company for all they have done to help me with what could have been a nightmare. Also thanks to you Porshe owners in suggesting that anyone considering purchasing a used Porsche spend the extra money and purchase an extended warranty. In the long run it was a small price to pay for this great outcome. The engine should arrive by next tuesday and maybe by the end of next week, I'll be back driving.

NEW CRATE......or Factory Remanufactured Crate? When I was asking around before, I was hearing you couldn't even get a NEW 996 engine anymore...but I wasn't looking that hard That's awesome news man, congrats!

POST 6Original post

EXCELLENT! Congratulations, she'll be back on the road in no time, ready to roll!

POST 7Original post

Awesome news! If she is ready come over to Raleigh on Saturday May 7th for our big charity funcours at Brier Creek. If the weather cooperatea we should have 300+ cars.

POST 9Original post

Great news... who is the warranty company or insurance company for your contract?

POST 10Original post

Congratulations. I had similar feeling when I was getting brand new transmission. Now I continue care free driving having over 3 more years to enjoy the warranty. For most of the things out there it make good economic sense to self insure but modern Porsche is NOT one of these.
