Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
My previous owner filled all the holes on the front bumper, so I'm not sure what I'd do if I got a ticket.
Leading evidence: 'Fill holes' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill holes' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

got stopped the other evening for no front plate. i haven't had a front plate for nearly thirty years so i guess it was a matter of time. the cop even said "hey i know nobody wants a plate on the front of their porsche but..." my question is, where do i find a mounting bracket. my car didn't come with one. are they a standard size that you can pick up at an auto parts place or do i need to go to a dealer?
I've seen a cool bracket that screws into the tow-hook mount. That way you don't have to drill into the front bumper cover.

Did you get a ticket or a warning? I got just a warning from DPS. I have the bracket in my front truck and I just tell them I a missing one piece to mount it and guess where they have to order that piece? Germany.
Yes you can buy the bracket from the dealer. Best idea is the tow hook mount. You could always just buy that. Leave if off. Then tell them you forgot to mount it back after the car wash. I have heard that works too.
Make life easy for yourself...visit a Porsche dealer and get the front license plate mounting kit.
You could also order it through the internet from Suncoast, Sunset, etc.
My previous owner filled all the holes on the front bumper, so I'm not sure what I'd do if I got a ticket. Thankfully I have a couple cop friends who can write off crap like that

Saves money instead of producing two plates when only 1 is a requirement...
Front plates are ugly though I have to agree! But unfortunately they are the law in most places.
yeah, I got pulled over too for the same thing. fix it ticket. the cop that signed off told me that getting pulled over for that was indicative of a dick head cop. he said it's usually the meter maids and not "real" cops that do that
I saw a GT2 last weekend that had a suction cup mount. He pulled on it as hard as he could, and told me he could tow the car with it. I don't have a link, though.
Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I found the entire Porsche front bracket with all of the mounting hardware on eBay. Came direct from a dealer about 45 minutes away, but I got it for about half what they would have charged if I had driven in and purchased it there.
Don't buy the Porsche unit or spend $80 on an aftermarket unit...there's a Canadian guy named Rolf around here somewhere that sells tow hook mounts for something less than $40 USD shipped. I have one for emergencies and it works absolutely great with no drilling. PM me if anyone wants his e-mail address.
