Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I just had my stock retractable spoiler assembly installed again on my car after having a fixed GT3 like wing on it for a few years. The shop working on the car said that there is a "GEAR" missing between the motor and the device that raises and lowers the wing. Does anyone know what that "GEAR" is? Is it a part of the motor technically? It is a 2003 996 C4S. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I have an entire assembly I will sell you for $50 shipping included -

POST 5Original post

I am on it... will post pics when I get home I tried like h&ll to get that tiny motor to lift the GT2 wing at speed and get some serious downforce... err upforce- errr...DRAG lmao!!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Ed (ivangene) that would be great. Can you email the pictures to bbllcglobal at Yahoo.com ? Thanks.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah Ed and then after I installed the bellows - I go and change the whole damn thing out for an Aero 2 wing! Still have it all in the basement. Hey wait.... (great idea mode)... you could try to figure out how to install your old 996 motor and arms onto your 911 and lower or raise your WHOLE engine cover with the flick of a switch for added downforce!! See example below... More downforce and better cooling! Call me crazy (many do) but this appears to be the hot set up for you! Abarth didn't go all the way - the engine cover were fixed open OR closed but not both. But with a little shade tree engineering on your part, you could have a 996 like rear wing going on with your engine lid. Yes I'm full of great ideas.

POST 12Original post

what happened to the fixed wing and is it for sale. I'm looking for a GT3 - RS wing blade with the lid? carbon fiber blade preffered

Ed sold the Cessna wing a while back...

POST 14Original post

LOL - I have not checked on that guys progress.. he planned to put it on a 928 race car... nic named Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... it flies!! here's the pics,.... $35 for the assy which include US shipping and you DO NOT have to feel obligated, I really dont mind if its not what you are looking for or you want to wait and find all the pieces in one place.... the bellows and cover are not much from Sunset new and you need hardware....you might have luck buying an entire deck with stock wing.... whatever, just an offer as to what i have that one end is hella dusty, I didnt clean it... for $75 more I can shine er right up

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

HAHA...>Thanks Ed. I forwarded the pics to my shop to see if these are the parts I need. I really appreciate it man. RL is the BEST!!!!!! I'm planning to spend more time here then before.
