Oh and I changed the front side markers to blink with turn signals (they're still lit as side markers with the headlights), which I much prefer.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

***SOLD***
Very well maintained former certified pre-owned car in outstanding condition. Recent multipoint inspection at Leith Porsche and maintenance including all brakes (Pagid Yellows), full brake flush with ATE Super Blue, oil change, tires, spark plugs. Also, the starter has been rebuilt, and the coolant tank/oil filler tube updated, etc. Owned by long time PCA member (3rd owner). It has never had any paint work, or other damage. Currently at 114k miles. Doesn't use or leak anything.
It has many desirable and rare options as well as a few upgrades including hollow spoke 18 inch turbo twist wheels, LSD/Traction control, Xenon/Litronic headlights, hi-fi sound, 3 spoke steering wheel, GT3 brake ducts, intake, short shift kit etc. Looking for $21,500.
Please email me with any questions.
Thanks, it's a great car!
Oh and I changed the front side markers to blink with turn signals (they're still lit as side markers with the headlights), which I much prefer. Had been meaning to do that for some time.
Anyway, here's another shot. I will try to add more still.
Also you should note this is a late '99 with the clear indicators, later production model is a plus.
This is an awesome platform and LSD is a big plus in my book.
Good luck -- what's next?
yea, I know why I didnt get any of your stuff.... you gave it away before I met you....
all neaty and tidy... not like me, I have this $hit spead all over the place
Oh you guys kill me...
This ought to be a great car moving forward, it's already had most of the actual common problems of the 996 addressed, including the mentioned starter/coolant overflow tank/oil filler tube, and before that other stuff like alternator, motor mounts, etc. I even clean the radiators and use oils from the current approved list!
Here's a few more pictures:
It's as clean as it looks! As for what's next for me? I don't think I can go long w/out some variant of a 996, but I think I want to move to a GT3 or a twin turbo if I can find the right one, but I'm not completely done playing with other cars either. I've got a fetish for a Volvo V70R, and an EVO MR, two other cars that I like a lot...
