Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Man, I'm so bummed.... but That's life.

POST 3Original post

dont feel bad, that one had a muffler tip out of alignment (drivers side) good luck on your search

POST 4Original post

that's like the superman color scheme - luv it. not a fan of gray interiors, though, and it seems pretty standard 996 plastics that needs some serious sprucing it up. there'll be others. good luck.

POST 5Original post

Keep in perspective.......everything happens for a reason........there are plenty of fish out there. Be patient.

POST 6Original post

That was a great color scheme but you will find another one that's better. It took me 6 months and I missed a couple I thought I wanted too. I ended up with the best of the bunch. I bet the IMS on that one was about to implode anyway.

I lost out on a C4S I'd been haggling over for a couple of weeks. The dealer wound up selling it from under me just to get it off the lot on the day the sales mgr was off and I found out about it on Friday around Noon. A couple of hours later a new listing showed up on Autotrader (not even any pics at that time) that led me to the selling dealer in Oregon who did have pictures. It was a better color, more highly optioned and similar miles as the prior one. We settled on a price pending the PPI results and I put a deposit down to hold it. The PPI was done the following Monday and I drove it home on Thursday. Sometimes things happen for a reason.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Car had a replacement engine from Porsche. Everything happens for a reason I guess..... Just sucks. Hopefully I'll find an even better one. Patiently waiting....

POST 9Original post

I'll bet you find another shortly, plenty out there.GL

POST 10Original post

you might be surprised to find out that a car that may not have been your dream car turns into something you really love for me I was dead set on NOT getting a red sports car. My wife also does not like red cars...... Oddly, I really enhoy the Guards Red way more than the black as far as maintenance goes and when I look out the window across the front of the car... OMG waht a beautiful color!! so.... IMO be open minded, you might be surprised

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys! I guess I really thought that was the one, and was planning on going down to see it this weekend. I'm going to keep looking and looking....... and looking.

POST 12Original post

You could always buy mine. It's cobalt blue metallic, grey interior, also has replacement engine from Porsche... Basically identical to that car EXCEPT it's not a C4S. It's a C2... So it's lighter.

Hahhaha, thanks for the offer! car looks amazing but i'm in the market specifically for a 4S.

POST 14Original post

Perhaps you will be forced to buy a cobalt blue over natural brown 997S instead!

That would be nice, but it's not in my budget. I just found another 4S newly listed ad in Cali. I just called and the owners wife said he's outside with a potential buyer These cars have a furious and fast pace to them!

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/1746195617.html there was a real nice one last week, dont see it today?

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking for a 6spd only, as close to original as possible, black, blue, or white. under 50 Miles, and under $40K, preferably private sale one owner. (Ideal) lol

POST 19Original post

I had a couple sold out from under me in my search. I'm now glad they did...
