Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

what I ended up doing is aligned the wheels, disconnected the steering wheel and using a snap on diagnostics tool set the steering wheel to zero and the connected back to the rack.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect steering wheel' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Disconnect steering wheel' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

As far as I know only a PIWIS can reset the steering angle sensor.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Wouldn't say no in general.
If it is an AT vehicle, the clock spring transports the signals for the horn and the shift electronics/gear shift. As the AT transmission is also connected to the PSM/ABS system via the bus system, there may be situations in which malfunctions occur.
Sorry I should have said it is a manual gearbox.
My brain works on logic. I know my current clock spring is questionable. However its job is to supply electric to items on the steering wheel, in my case a horn and airbag both of which are working so in my mind doesnt need replacing.
Thats why a bought a new laptop and Durametric system because they told me it would zero the steering sensor. But it doesnt. It says it does and even tells you its been done but when I read the absolute angle its still 50 degrees out.
If the steering angle sensor is off 50 degrees it's going to really mess up PSM. Actually if it's off 2 degrees it messes up PSM.
And yes Durametric lies about a lot of features. As far as I know only a PIWIS can reset the steering angle sensor.
Call an independent Porsche garage, most have a PIWIS.
