Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where else can I find these parts for a 2003 996 C2? I found the bumper for $999 on Pelican Parts and the rear tail light on Suncoast for $355. Should I go used?

POST 2Original post

whats wrong with the ones you have? are you sure the bumper is not repairable? (if there is a problem) have you thought about something special like an Aero bumper

POST 3Original post

Try Oklahoma Foreign for used. No reason to not buy a used one really. I've had good luck with them (Oklahoma that is).

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had an accident backing up in a parking garage ...and the parking garage won. It looks like someone took a bowling ball and smashed the corner of the right side bumper and lower part of the tailight. I'll try to put up a picture.

POST 6Original post

ouch.... ebay has em http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...item2304362b56 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...item2301e70849

POST 7Original post

I bought some stuff from DC auto in NewYork, there is also a place in Cali, something dimantellers.... that's going to be a pricey fix, sure you dont want to turn it into the insurance? I would have done my own job BEFORE I knew what all was involved in doing it right...now I dont think I would...there are a lot of subtle things that can make a differance and from the look of it, the impact went deep enough to maybe warrent having the sheet metal under looked at.... Then there is the paint, unless you luck out and find one in your color that is not scratched... just a thought

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If I buy a used bumper, is there anything I need to check for - to make sure it will work? I am assuming that it will have all the screw holes and everything it needs to be put on my car. All the bolts. clamps and brackets I should currently have on my car with the existing broken bumper.

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 7125209

just make sure the holes/tabs are not broken.... re-use the bolts.... it takes 5 minutes (with beers, 2 hours) to take the rear bumper off.

POST 10Original post

in my case it takes 2 beers just to think of athe spot I will put the bumper once I take it off....
