I replaced all six around 50k miles (4 cracked), but all six were fine at 100k miles.

Depends on the climate and the person changing the spark plugs last. Too much torque = cracked coils for sure.

Interesting. I don't think the plugs have been changed yet but that WAS on the list for this service.... It's starting to look like I should just take off the tin foil hat and be happy that I have good coils.......... Thanks Loren!

I'm also somewhat surprised your mechanic didnt change out the other 2 coils while he was at it. At least that's what my mechanic recommended last month.

Yep, the other two are okay (on an interesting side note, they're roughly twice the price from the dealer as you can get them from a supplier) which I thought was odd too but if they're good, they're good. Good to hear (again) that this isn't unheard of. Thanks guys.
