Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, just got a new (to me) 996 Carrera 2. Pretty happy with performance so far. I have evolved from an Evolution 8, X and BMW 335 xi. Here are some pictures of my new baby.

POST 2Original post

Hmmm.... interesting.... you went from fast to less fast, but went up in style each time...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am getting older and needed a car that suits my needs. But if I need to blow some adrenaline, I still have my Ducati 848 to play with.

POST 4Original post

Looks great in those shots, with the color against the autumn leaves.... congrats! Kinda confused by the comment above....

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

One more shot in gorgeous autumn weather. Honestly, I think the 996 feels much faster in a straight line than the evo's and the 335. And the sound at WOT is pure heaven. Would probably go to the tracks after winter to see which is faster. But the evo's got the upper hand on the twisties.

POST 7Original post

I see a fixed wing in your future.... nice! welcome to Rennlist.

POST 8Original post

Welcome, watch that curb !!! you are close in the one pic.... fixed wing - WTF ??? LOL nice bike.... now you have a car that can out run the bike in the curves (though not on the straights of course) - OLD my *** - you look young to me....

POST 10Original post

Welcome! Nice 996. You'll find lots of good folks on this forum.

POST 11Original post

The 911 evokes a great deal of passion, enjoy it.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 13Original post

POST 14Original post

Great looking car if I do say so myself A pumpkinectomy is in order!

POST 15Original post

Welcome, nice foliage shots. I am liking the Carrera light 5-spoke rims more and more. I may have to buy some at some point! PS--Your spoiler is stuck in the up position!

POST 16Original post

Wow. Beautiful 996! I'm starting to prefer the lines of the coupes over the cabs... and that's one of my favorite colors. Congrats!

POST 18Original post

Pretty shots of the car. I guess im the only one that prefer the pumpkins. They throw a cool light out the side at night.
