Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

OK! It's about a Boxster but still applies to how we feel about these cars!! http://autos.sympatico.ca/features/1...ir-to-remember Pete

POST 3Original post

Good story, but a price tag "just over $90k"? Really? Why in the world would you spend that much money on a Boxster?

POST 4Original post

Canadian dollars or a heavily optioned car or both? ///Michael

I think it's both. Probably had PCCB also. Porsche likes to put those on the press cars. This guy really nailed the Boxster experience. I got offered a test drive in one @ Carlson Porsche at a time I was in the market for a 930. The Boxster made all the 930's I'd driven feel like slow piles-o-crap. (apologies to 930 owners) I bought the Boxster. Phil

POST 8Original post

He would just cheat on his mistress and get a 911....

POST 9Original post

I just checked the exchange rates today and we're still talking an $85k Boxster. So either it is heavily optioned or those north of the border get to pay just a bit more than we're used to!

After exchange we still pay lots more than our US counterparts (new or used). This is why so many canadians look in the US for their cars. I did and saved an easy $10k. Same applies for tires, parts, etc.

POST 11Original post

I believe the difference lies in the options, exchange rate, and the higher taxes that Canadians pay.

POST 12Original post

Regardless of exchange rate, it's safe to say you could buy both a 6GT3 and a used Boxster S for the cost of this one new and still have money put aside for maintenance/repairs. Seems like a steep price to pay just to own a new car.
