I guess it's time to come to terms that the 996 is no longer in the garage so I've updated my sig with one of the toys that still remains. I know you'll all love my new sig Andy

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Still got the Audi. Nearly 200K miles and still truckin' along. ...and I will own another porsche sooner or later so that I can put another one in my sig here

I still miss my B5 S4, one day I will find a nice B5 S4 Avant to haul my dog around in

Yeah, there is that one irritating wizenhiemer with the Honda that hangs around these parts. What is with that guy any way? Tells us he hada 911, but I don't think anyone believes him, or anything else he says. Can't he be banned? J/K Tim, WE LOVE YOU MAN !!!! Phil p.s. but maybe there could be a new rule about banning guys with non Porsches in their sig !
Wow, another sweet ride. Good to still see you posting here. My pops is loving your car. I need to raise the coil-overs though (I have Bilstein wrenches, guess they'll work), cause he can't get into his driveway!

I have to go in to my drive way at an angle. Straight on I scrape the front lip.
Quotes source post: 7063223
Ha...the coilover wrenches are sitting with the stuff that I need to send to you guys that I overlooked when he picked up the car. Did you try pulling the lower lip off of the car? it adds quite a bit of ground clearance when it's removed. Just plastic screws / rivits holding it on there. Andy
Sorry to jump in on this. Is there any aerodynamic value to that lower lip?
Quotes source post: 7063565
Yes, it reduces air under the car which reduces lift. In all fairness at street speeds you shouldn't notice a difference. My car didn't have one when I bought it and I didn't add the OEM unit until about a year later. Even at the track I noticed no difference. Andy

WTB smaller sigs.....
Andy - I miss your old sig but this one is pretty sweet. Who takes your rolling shots?
A Buddy of a buddy took the rolling shots of the M3 and 996 same day a couple years ago. My brother just had a professional shoot done of his FD and not only was the guy extremely reasonable but the shots are amazing. I'll send you a couple of them when I get copies. ...now that I've got an SLR camera I've been experimenting on my own but I"m still just not quite there yet.
Well if you want to experiment with it...
Andy. Love the white E46.

Cool, glad you have the wrenches. Yes, I removed the lower lip, and it did provide more clearance. Daddio scraped it a few too many times, and I told him it was best to remove it before he completely destroyed it. Let us know via email about the rest of the shipment & title. Thanks Andy!
