Suggestion

Sounds good, also in some cases the sound changes after a while with some cans once broken in, so probably better off waiting a bit - but we'll be watching...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

... And at the exhaust shop. This same shop could easy perform the PSE mod and then install them. Of course, you'll have to tell them exactly which mod (size pipe etc). They just installed my Tubi and did an excellent job. If someone is interested - drop me a pm. I'd like to get $100 for the cans.

Well, Im trying to pay it forward. This is a good deal for someone since I found a "grass-roots" shop, that is totally reasonable - and can do the mod. Plus, now they know how to install a 911 muffler - since they practiced on me. lol!!

POST 5Original post

How do you like the Tubi's? Any chance of a sound clip?

I'm going to hold back before I give my final opinion... I haven't really had enough seat time with it yet. I will say this - it is OEM quiet when you want it to be (small throttle inputs), and barks pretty loud when you're on the gas. The tone is very nice - deep. But you know... it takes away some of the engine's sound that I loved hearing when really gassing it. So... let me live with it for a bit - and I'll post back. Also, I will certainly try to hook up a clip - but its a pretty low toned sound... so well see how easy it is to capture.

Tubi mufflers! Good for you. Can't wait to hear them. <Tim makes a note to self> "Self, make sure we get a sound clip from Malakas. <end note>

POST 9Original post

OK, I have a question about the outlet pipes on the two cans... Mine are like this first photo and the ones listed here are more like the second (w/o tips) why so differant, why so long, are they wide body? do they offer more "tip" options? Just curious Thanks

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pm sent. Yeah, the second set you pictures are more like mine. They are the C4S tips -- longer -- in fact, the same as the 997 exhaust. Cans are still there ... otherwise I will put them on Ebay I suppose.
