I've had my mechanic check for vacuum leaks, clean the contacts, and install a new factory MAS, but the codes keep coming after 3 drive cycles or so.
Leading evidence: 'Check intake/vacuum leaks' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check intake/vacuum leaks' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

You might also replace your fuel filter if you have not replaced it in the last 30,000 miles.

We have been all through there looking for leaks, but not sure about last fuel filter change so I'll do that.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Did the MAS cleaning, etc and finally replaced the part to get the problem solved for a while.
Hi all--
I have a '99 996 C2, and about 18 months ago I had repeated CEL issues with the familiar codes P1123 and P1125. Did the MAS cleaning, etc and finally replaced the part to get the problem solved for a while.
Now, I'm getting solid CEL again with codes P1124, P1126, and pending P0130 and P0150. I've had my mechanic check for vacuum leaks, clean the contacts, and install a new factory MAS, but the codes keep coming after 3 drive cycles or so. I'll reset them with my Actron box, but they come back frequently.
The CEL always pops on at idle, and occasionally the idle warbles around 800-1000 rpm.
Any suggestions? thanks!
P1124 - Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Rich Threshold
P1126 - Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Rich Threshold
The ODB II manual says that these codes indicate your fuel mixture is too lean. That is, the DME can not make the mixture rich enough - i.e. rich theshold exceeded.
It lists as probable cause:
Intake air system leaking.
Fuel pressure too low.
Fuel pump volume too low.
Fouled fuel injectors.
There is a TSB 4/00 03.. Oil Filler Cap (dated 3-24-2000) that states: "If the oil filler cap is not fully engaged, or is tilted, (not engaged on both sides) the filler cap o-ring will not provide a complete seal. This can cause a CE light and Pcodes: P1124, P1126, P1127, P1128." This would be my first try.
If that is not it. You can likely rule out the last one (since you got codes for both sides) - as a having a fouled fuel injector on each side of the engine is very unlikely.
I would look for loose or worn vacuum hoses or other manifold leaks. You might also replace your fuel filter if you have not replaced it in the last 30,000 miles.
Not sure what you mean by pending, but...

P0150 - 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
Thanks fellas. We have been all through there looking for leaks, but not sure about last fuel filter change so I'll do that.
I did a search at Autohaus looking for the AOS, but couldn't locate the part. What is it and could you guys show me a link possibly? Here is a start:

Much appreciated, from a total mechanical rookie here.
