Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just got a new set of BFG gForce NEW TREAD design tires ($750 at Costco, with free road hazard warranty) I like the tires alot. They are quiet, smooth and look cool. Handling seems better too. The tire guy at Costco has a Porsche 944, he recommended them, hes been doing tires for 15 years. I know BFG has been getting bashed on this board, but they seem like great tires for the price (or any price).

POST 3Original post

Are you running 17s or 18s? and yes, pics would be great!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They are 18's, here is a stock photo....

POST 5Original post

Very cool tread. What did you have before? Let us know how they wear. Thanks.

POST 6Original post

When you get a chance to test them in wet weather that would also be helpful. Thanks, Rob

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Put them on yesterday, right before a thunderstorm (luckily, because my previous Continentals were bald) they have very good traction in the wet/dry, as far as I can tell. They "seem" to turn better....ie offset some of the understeer?????

POST 8Original post

Not bad especially for the price. I've had bad luck with costco set up in the past. Seemed like they could never get the balance just right, going over 80-90 MPH got shaky. Let me know how it handles as well as wich Costco did the work.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You guys are going to thin I am an a**hole, but I did it in the name of research. The BFG tires I bought are awesome. I was doing 120 'ish (I know, I know) in the rain (I know, I know) and the tires held like Velcro (tm). In fact drove around all day (about 100miles) in various stages of rain-monsoon to light- and the tires are great in the wet. I highly reccomend them. (225-40-18 front, 265-35-18 rear). New tread design looks cool too....

POST 10Original post

I bought the TDW - K2 and they are by far the worse, loudest, PITA tires I ever experinced IMHO - After 2 weeks I had them removed and sold them on e-bay and picked up a set of S02a. Again it's just my opinion...Ever Again.

POST 11Original post

i don't like the tread design. it doesn't have channels to expell water. continentals are the worst N spec tires i''ve heard. so, it's possible BFG is better. glad you like them. i agree on costco's best prices.

POST 12Original post

While never on the Pcar, I had these tires on an S4, and couldn't get enough of them. So much better then the Pirelli crap that came on the car. You are right, they are short of amazing in the rain. I opted not to go that route in the pcar, as they are not very good track tires. Its funny how opinion differ so much in the way of tires. These and S03's seem to have a love or hate following...
