My understanding is the BK brackets that are used with the factory sliders are even lower.

They are side rails, they replace the side rails of the stock seat and mount on the stocl sliders.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well I got the seat basically because I thought it would be lower since I am 6'3" and plan on doing some TT events for the GGR region eventually. They require the 6pt harness so I thought these would be perfect. After searching, I noticed that people were saying they're not lower than the 'Sport Seats', but I am wondering if they are going to be lower than the stock seats? I also saw that Brey Krause sells some lower brackes. Has anyone had success using these? If it's not going to get me lower I am going to cancel the order. Please let me know.
Thanks Mike
call up devek.net. they apparently set up a lot of gt3s with one piece gt3 seats.

GGR is at thunderhill august 6-7. see ya there!
btw, if you only do the one day High Speed Driving School then you only need a helmet long sleeved shirt/pants and driving gloves, no harness needed.
(Disclaimer - I had the standard seats, not the sport seats).
The GT3 seat is about 1/2 inch higher than the stock seat
at it's lowest position
. My helmet touches the headliner now, where it did not with the stock seat
at it's lowest position
. And if you think about it, it makes sense. Why would a fixed height seat not be in the range of the adjustable seat?
Wow, really? That's not good, plus the back isn't adjustable and I am already having to slouch and put the seat back a little. Are they good for a daily driver? Hmmmm. Anyone have any ideas for something different I should get? Chip? Exhaust?
I ordered my GT3 with the lowered seats, and this makes about a 10mm (approx 1/2 inch) difference.
So if the GT3 seat is not lower, you can lower it, but I think the GT3 seat is already lower based upon switch in the GT2 (IIRC).
Bottom line ..no need to cancel! As always..just buy more parts!
Remember too with the GT 3seat you sit a little further forward on the track, and this creates even more head room (for the helmet) because of the shape of the roof.
Anyone have part numbers for whatever it takes for the factory "lowered" option that Colm mentions? My understanding is the BK brackets that are used with the factory sliders are even lower. Anyone have those part numbers handy?
They are side rails, they replace the side rails of the stock seat and mount on the stocl sliders. They are lower, and I believe provide some adjustment for recline (by way of fixed holes you can choose, not adjustable on the fly)
