Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had my front drivers side wheel off tonite checking on my brake pads. I noticed this lever that was just hanging down and it looks like it broke off from somewhere. Can someone let me know what the thing does (is it important? since its probably been broken for some time) and where it reattaches to? I can't seem to be able to locate where it goes back? THanks in advance, Will

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I do.....is that the self leveler thingie???

POST 4Original post

I believe it is part number 996.341.375.01 labeled as "strut" other end connects to a sensor part number 996.631.121.00 according to my pet cat. I can not tell you more as I do not know what it does. I just looked at the pet and found what looks to be your broken part. I hope it helps. It makes sense if the sensor is for litronics!

POST 6Original post

I am the one that came up with a part number so back off TP. You always win give someone else a shot. PS IF I'm right.........

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the help guys....weird though when I look at my suspension arm. It doesn't even look like there is a broken bracket or anything....is the bracket on the arm metal or plastic? (ie. the bracket that the strut arm is supposed to attached to? THanks again, Will

POST 8Original post

That electrical device that is in the picture. Look at it closely and see if there is anything missing from the back. That is the sensor it connects to....I think?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The part of the arm that connects to the electrical sensor is OK...that part is connected. Its the other end (the bottom end), that looks like it connects somehow to the suspension arm is the one that broke off on my car (you'll see that end sorta just hanging in my picture)
