Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got her done. My cans are dropped. No worries, once i started taking the correct nuts off. I was so pleased to have moderately redeemed myself that I polished my tips (really filthy) and spray painted my lug nuts: Tips: Maas metal polish + 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, finished with extra fine steel wool (cleaned up really well); Lug Nuts: 5/8" spade bit holes into scrap wood, set the nuts in the holes, degrease/clean with brake cleaner, let dry, then paint with RustOleum wheel paint. Pics of everything attached, and thanks again for help dropping the exhaust. Cocktail hour is upon me.

POST 2Original post

great idea for the lug bolts. i may do that this spring..

POST 3Original post

Great Job! I'll be right over for that Beer...

POST 5Original post

Nice job Mawgie! Doing the work yourself empowers you to do more. When I had my wheels powdercoated I painted my lugs too. I punched holes in a cardboard box and fit a lug in each hole than painted them. Same idea as yours. Great minds think alike!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

SneakyPete- You're smarter than me be/c I sacrificed a piece of wood! I am a huge Audi fan, and see that you have an A4. Have you modded it at all? I presently need a 1/2 ton pick up, but within five years probably won't, and, at that point will either jump to a Cayenne S, or a heavily modded Audi Avant. My current A6 is a champ.......

POST 7Original post

The A4 is my wife's car. No mods........2007 with 100K miles on it. The car is a tank. I did have a A3 S-Line. Now that was a quick little car. 3.2 with DSG transmission and quattro. Fun!
