Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Good move on replacing the wing....as indicated, stock U.S.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So here the baby.
It's a 2002 Carrera 4S we bought 3 weeks ago for my wife
It's got 49.500 miles, one owner, well maintained in a Porsche garage.
It was hard to find a clean car. Some had low mileage, but interior was worn where the body wasn't damaged. I even saw a beautiful 2003 4S in Nevada that had probably had an accident, but not shown on its carfax. So be careful with these 4S: I realized during my hunt that people do love them and they are usually expensive and go quickly. So be careful if you find a cheap one that's not sold after 3 weeks...
The only thing I don't like on our 4S is the turbo tail, that denatures the car IMHO.
I prefer the original hood that makes the rear look wider, and lighter. The previous owner sold the original hood on ebay because he wanted the 4S to look like a turbo. Grrrr....
At least there is no Turbo badge on the tail and all the 4S badges have been kept, even on wheels.
I was pretty impressed by the engine above 5500 rpm. I didn't know the 996 in the 3.6 configuration (only tried 3.4 before) and even if it's not a GT3, it's got a lot of torque and the sound is really nice.
The chassis is fantastic. Even for the weight I'm impressed how fast you can pass a corner before the car drifts. I'm actually still discovering the car and don't feel comfortable yet with curves at the limit of the car. I don't really know how good or bad it can react in a loss of grip but what I do love with a 911 is the heavy back pack that makes the rear train sticky like glue if you keep the throttle at the good rate.
The 320 hp make the car really easy to handle even if I must admit it's a bit heavy on small roads (I live in the mountains of the south bay).
But anyway, what a fun... I love it
Beautiful.
I agree with your desire to go back to the original rear deck lid. They are occasionally for sale here and over on 6speedonline.
Congrats - and enjoy.
that's the fake one (and the guy paid $4000 to get it installed...) I'm looking forward to get an used one or will ask the Porsche guys to put a new one in place during next service.
Springs... X73....
Guys... it's a 4x4, not a formula 1. I want to keep it original.
I have a track car being rebuilt that has all the best stuff and should be ready for 2009.
Good move on replacing the wing....as indicated, stock U.S. 996's look massively too high and feel light on the front end at speed...suspension drop mod is customary.......
youll see the turbo lid pop up on ebay here and there.... here's one but not great.... you get the idea though.

Thank you guys.
fly996: I discovered that, now I get her in hands. The front is a bit floating but remains beutral, so at this point I would say it's ok.
barn: she lets me drive
redridge: the idea is to come back to original parts/design so I won't put any wing again, only the motorized original one. I love the 4S for this : wide body but no tail.
