Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know of an inexpensive OEM GT3 MKII bumper that's had a small crack repaired with fiberglass. It looks like a quality repair. The bumper is about 1/3 the cost of new. Would you take a chance?

POST 2Original post

What's you're gut tell ya! Personally in a heart beat and spend the money you saved for another mod, crap now I know where all my money goes.!!

POST 3Original post

repairing a fiberglass bumper is not rocket science - I would take a chance on it. By the time the finish is on, they will have prepped it and filled and sanded anything that needs it. Go for it or tell us who is selling it

POST 4Original post

not sure about cracks..but if it was just a bunch of scraping and crud from curbs, i'd say go for it, what have ya got to loose. i'm actually in the process of buying another 6speeders busted joint bumper, i'll post up how it looks if ur in no particular rush.

POST 5Original post

If it is the speed yellow one, don't forget to add $240 plus shipping for the rubber lip spoiler which is not included. There is a place which is selling an after market fiberglass one for 1/2 the price of OEM if that interests you.

POST 6Original post

I've been following it too... 5 hours left. From the others I've missed on Ebay, it'll probably go for about 600-700. At that point, it's hardly worth it if you want the lip too. How well would a fiberglass repair on a urethane bumper likely hold up when hitting cones at autoX?
