but that being said, as much as i love the cars, the growing of my business is what motivates me to keep going, there's something inately satisfying about watching it grow, it's almost like what i suspect watching a child grow up might be like.

no particular car but i have my sights set on having owned a ferrari by 25.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know I've been lurking around for awhile, but I finally got some good pictures of the car and figured it's time to say an official hello.
I'm Mark, 19, from Vancouver, BC and this is my 99 C2 cabrio with 59xxx miles.
Enjoy
thanks for the kind words - it should look clean, i scrubbed the heck out of it this morning. this is the first day vancouver has had sun in almost a month, so i figured i better take some shots while i could.
Nice ride...I got the same one in black and keep on keeping it clean.....
I remember my first Porsche..it wasn't a 911 but a 924..I was almost 18..and a couple of weeks later I wrapped the P...around a tree!! What I am trying to say......respect you Porsche dude!!! It is a super car and will give you a lot of fun (and girls!!!) but it can also give you a lot of pain (luckily my pain was in my wallet, because I totalled it.
I am almost 40 now and sometimes still can't control myself in the curves!!
Drive hard but safe!! and get to know the car before you pushing the limits....
Yeah same story here pretty much. When I was 19 I nailed a telephone pole with my beautiful '67 912
.
When you are young you think you are invincible, and with a good handling car it can make it worse sometimes.
thanks for the words of wisdom guys, this is my second porsche now, my first was an 00 986S.
however, this is my 14th vehicle and i've got a massive number of miles under my belt considering my age as my job is mostly driving.
the car is beautiful, the only thing it needs is a faceplate for the CDR220 and maybe a bit more cleaning.
cheers guys.
edit- ive also been auto-xing for awhile here, ive done fairly well on our local circuit in my auto-x car, a 93 miata (tailhappy little bastard). i'm looking forward to taking the 996 out on a real track.
MArk - Welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm and congrats on getting your P-car. VERY Nice! First mod suggestion.... clear side lights only $32 (US) or $4 million (CAN).
Congrats on the car. I've been a couple of times in Vancouver and love Grandville Island (or whatever it's called).
Good luck keeping it clean with the weather you guys have
Congratulations. The car looks good. I am sure your girlfriend will like the white car with black interior -- it will match whatever outfit she is wearing.
Granville Island, and it's an awesome little place not only for the car photography, but the market is excellent.
the interior is actually the same colour as the roof - metropolitan blue.
I think I should stress that I wasn't just given this car, I've been working for about 4 years now, starting about a year before I got my license, saving money. Then when I got my license, I began buying and selling cars and never touched the principle, always reinvesting into the next car or two sometimes. My first car was a 92 BMW, not quite as fancy as this but still retains a very special place in my heart. Since that car I've owned over 15 including the motorcycles and have been adding as much money to the principle as I can from my day job. This car I love very much, but is for sale, as were all the previous ones before it.
heh, we have several months of solid sun, but for the winter it sure seems impractical
although hey, those photos were taken january 30th, not too shabby for vancouver.
Same here. One time I was working in northern B.C. and since I had been gone for more then 1 month, I had my girlfriend fly to Vancouver for a couple of days. We went to Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver. She absolutly fell in love with that city and specialy with grandville island over looking Vancouver (same spot as picture #3).
With all that buying and celling, what would be you're absolute goal (car)?

yo lowside67 that a kickin ride and the scenery is hot remember drive till the wheels fall of
enjoy it! life that is : congtats and welcome to da house
Well nice ride and think of us poor saps in Phoenix, AZ on the way up to Grouse Mountain with no rain. The one thing I miss about Vancouver is how nice my car would look up there after a good wax job the reflections off the car where were stunning. Have fun you'll only be 19een once.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you got your first Porsche (986S) about 20 years, age wise, before I did. Outstanding!. Enjoy the young life in your 20's -- keep a cool head and live like there is no tomorrow.
Best!
heh he's a youngun like me, but i'm pretty sure he's a couple years older than I, definately between the two of us we skew the mean age way down though.
^ no kiddin...hell you can't even go a drinkin in the states and i couldn't either till just recently..
damn...canada makes me feel old...i've been doing everything that american kids look forward too for a while now
Hey yeah, I think I know the kid! I'd bet he'd say something like, "Don'tcha wish your Porsche was HOT like MINE!...Don'tcha baby..don'tcha!"
After ROWM030
19 with a 911? I got a 944 when I was 17 and thought I was doing well at the time, but anyway, I'll tell you what I told Moogle, which is the same thing that Colin Quinn on Saturday Night Live told the fourteen year old kid who banged his teacher Mary Kay Laturno:
You don't know yet kid, but your doing good. You're doing real good.
Doing well is all relative right? I was just in the right place at the right time to make my business venture work, and hopefully will continue to do so. I certainly wouldnt have been ashamed to have a nice 944! I've been looking for an S2 cab like my father's forever.
It's an '03 C4S which now has 20,700 km or about 12.9K miles. I bought it in May 2005 with about 10.5K miles.
Here's an interior shot (forgive the mobile phone quality shot):
Thanks. Actually, the car went through the Porsche Individual Program so I believe it was done at the factory. Options: carbon steering, crest in headrest, supple leather, pcmII, aluminum gauges/gear-shifter/handbrake/sport tailpipes, aluminum strip on dash, ROW M030, and my favorite of all PSE with the electronics. The stereo sucks but who can complain about listening to Porsche Symphony 3.6 in Flat-6?
I'm not nearly as young as lowside... I'm 24. But its good to see more younger people joining the 996 ranks.
lowside - just curious, but what business do you own
