Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i failed NJ inspection today.
reason:
brake force rear axle insufficient in relation to front axle.
brake force:
left front: 686 lbf, right front: 669lbf
right rear: 240 lbf right rear: 232 lbf
any thoughts on the reason? is this going to be a adjustment thing? or something is broken badly.
the car does feel "pushy" when braking, guess the rear brake is not strong enough.
Those numbers don't mean ANYTHING to me but the first thing I would ask is have you bled or flushed your brake fluid recently? I know there is a brake bias in these cars but hopefully somebdy with knowledge on the numbers you posted could help out.
no, i haven't done any main. work to the car.
is the brake force something adjustable? or this is indication of something needs to be replaced.
i want to get more knowledge before taking the car to dealer on Sat. , but my search didn't find anything useful.
I do not think there is anyway to change your brake bias unless you have mixed compounds (pads). Bleeding the brakes can get you a better brake pedal feel (remove air from the line).
this is what i thought too.
when the inspector told me, "you need to adjust your rear brake", i was like, is it possible to adjust it???
my pedal does feel heavy, initial bite and force doesn't feel strong, again, when braking hard, i feel the rear brake force is weak, hopefully a simple brake fluid bleeding will fix it. (get ride of all air burbles.)
BTW, i still have 18 summer tires on, will be related?
this is the good thing about NJ.
the inspection place is state-operated, and it's free, and they don't sell anything.
so i don't worry about he's trying to sell me anything.
i feel the test make sense somehow, cause i do feel the rear brake is not 100%, but never bother to change it.
when i did PPI, porsche tech told me i have 15% left on my front-brake, should i just get new front-pad as the same time to save some money?
