Check your fuses, I forget which one it was but I think it was 7 amp??

Suggestion
Based on the number of gallons going in, it seems pretty reasonable that it's filling the tank but the gauge is reporting incorrectly.

Suggestion
If you don't fill the tank beyond a certain point it doesn't reset the 'distance to empty' and the car keeps complaining that you are out of gas.

I have filled up my gas tank two times since I got my C2, and both times the gas pump clicked, as though it was full. When I got back into my car, the gas tank gauge shows that it is not full! Each time, the gauge showed a different "fullness", is this common? Does my car have an issue? Should I try putting more gas in it next time by re-engaging the pump after it clicks off?

I have had that happen a couple of times - and always at the same gas pump. My solution - use a different gas place.
Oh, and just to rub salt in the wound. I went to one that would barely put any fuel in. If you don't fill the tank beyond a certain point it doesn't reset the 'distance to empty' and the car keeps complaining that you are out of gas. I had this happen a couple of times when running autoX, where I didn't want the extra weight of a full tank.

That problem is only on C4's with the "saddle bag" gas tanks.
Depending on the year of delirium's car he could have a pinched hose from the factory. There is a TSB on that.
Happened to me several times. Dealer says that there is a lever inside the neck that opens the vapor return. You have to put the nozzle all the way in. If the nozzle has one of those rubber boots it makes it difficult.
My C2 has never showed full, ever. Based on the number of gallons going in, it seems pretty reasonable that it's filling the tank but the gauge is reporting incorrectly.
I seem to have this problem only when the tank is near empty when the low fuel light comes on. To avoid it, try adding fuel earlier to see if that helps. also, add fuel slowly and not at full blast seem to help too.
You blew a fuse that controls the vent flap that will not allow gas to flow into tank. It happened to me and the dealer missed it! Check your fuses, I forget which one it was but I think it was 7 amp??

I had the same problem with my C2 also. I took it to the dealer when it first started happening and they couldn't find anything wrong. After several more fueling attempts I found that if I turned the nozzle slightly to the left, or even upside down, the problem seems to have gone away.
As far as adding more once the pump clicks off, be careful.
My tank is FULL now when it clicks off. Ask me how I know.
