I'll be in Toronto Saturday-Monday and I wanted to know if anyone on this board has any reco's for things to do (jazz clubs, restaraunts, night life, etc.) Should I get a hotel downtown or is there another area that's closer to the happening spots?

Its Film Festival Week end so it will be crazy. Try the Four Season, Hyatt or Windsor Arms. Or Soho Met, Le Germaine, is cool. Don't stay out of town. Clubs: Ultra is cool great patio, met Mick Jagger there 3 weeks ago. On King St. Brant House, also a cool bar called 2 Cats is there. The Drake has a very cool bar as well. Lobby is cool too and you can eat there too. Amber in Yorkville is a cool bar with a patio too. Eats: Susur on King Thuet on King The Fifth on Richmond Perigee in the Distrillery District Italian: Mistura, Splendido. The Avenue Bar at the four Seasons is also a cool bar. You had better book your hotel now, especially for this week end. For steaks Harbour Sixty is good. I think I used the word cool 7 or 8 times here sorry, but you get the point. R

It will be real busy, I suggest you get a room, fast. The four seasons is a great hotel and right in the heart of yorkville, a upscale part of town. There is lots to see and loads of places you might like to go, drop me a line if you require directions.
