Hey gang - Like the title says, I'm looking for a set of OEM 18" 996 5-spoke wheels in excellent contition. OK if they already have good rubber mounted. I'll be installing them on my 928 GTS - fitment issues have already been answered by others who have already installed them on their 928. PM me if you have some, or have a lead to some. Thanks! The consensus is that they are a nice match to the 928:

They may have been later fitted to the 997, but they were originally designed by BBS for Porsche and fitted to the 996. Hence their 996 part number.

I don't think that's entirely true. Those look like 997 wheels and have 997 offsets which are different than typical 996 offsets. I have a Boxster and a very large number of the parts start with 996. I think I've even seen some Boxster 986 numbers on 996s on PET. I wouldn't read too much into the part number other than possibly it may have been originally intended for a certain vehicle.

The 5-spokes on that eBay link are indeed for the 997. They're not the 996 5-spoke Carrera wheels you're looking for, Randy V, at least not the ones shown in your 928 pic.

Thanks, guys - just goes to show I don't know much about the rear-engine models! I've now learned that the 996 5-spokes have thinner 'spokes' and are thus lighter than the 997 5-spokes. The offsets are slightly different as well. My quest for OEM 996 5-spokes continues! (I'll check Wheel Enhancement, but I always prefer a 'used in excellent condition' deal).
