Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I had my '99 Cab I used Porsche Plastic Window Cleaner followed by Plexus.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i may be misinterpreting every post, but can someone help me with the best method for cleaning the rear plastic/vinyl window in my 2000 996 cab. i can't find a post that specifies a non-glass window.
many thanks.

I use Meguiar's products. I use Mirror Glaze
Clear Plastic Cleaner
to clean, Mirror Glaze
Clear Plastic Polish
to give it that nice shine, and Mirror Glaze
Clear Plastic Detailer
in between applications of the Clear Plastic Cleaner.
I noticed your sig says you're from Virginia -- which part? You can order the Mirror Glaze products online or find them at Fairfax Auto Parts stores (the one in Vienna stocks them).
When I bought my 99 Cab the rear window was clouded so badly I couldn't even see through it.
I had Plexus on hand, as I had used it to maintain my Boxster plastic window. The Plexus just made the clouding glossy, didn't remove any hazing.
I then purchased the Mequires Mirror Glaze products. These also did not lessen the clouding. No improvement.
Then a member of one of the Boxster boards suggested I try Novus plastic cleaner products. They have a 3-step system. Novus 3 is the heavy duty cleaner. Novus 2 is a moderate cleaner/polish. Novus 1 is the final application polish/conditioner which seems to perform similar to Plexus.
The Novus 3 step method restored my window to practically as-new condition. It did require that I use all three steps.
You're welcome to my Mequires products if you want them.
If you simply need to condition/maintain your window, Plexus is great.
TGV - here's a secret from racers (plexi windows) pilots and sailors. To cleanyour window use a chamois and no soap. Never use windex or other window cleaners designed for glass. Use Pledge yup the furniture polish spray a very small amount and buff. Works like magic.
When I had my '99 Cab I used Porsche Plastic Window Cleaner followed by Plexus.
Get in the car with a clean and new wax pad, dab the cleaner on and wipe side to side to cover. Buff out with a clean, 100% cotton cloth. Repeat on outside of window.
Come back with new cloth, spray cloth with Plexus, wipe side to side and turn cloth often. Do inside and out. Window stayed clear for weeks this way.
Glad I have an '04 now though!
