Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Would you be able to make A 996C2 into a drift car? I've seen it done on a 993 GT2 on YouTube.

POST 2Original post

Yes, would it be competitive, no. Way too heavy rear, transitons are fast and hard to catch. Good forward traction, but you need lost of speed to hold the drift. Better build it from frontengine rwd layout. I used RX-7 to compete in Finnish Pro Drift Association series for 5 year's

POST 3Original post

Just out of curiosity, how long does a set of rear tires last for a drift competition vehicle?

POST 4Original post

fpena944: Power and weight of the car affects on tyre wear. Usually set of reartyre's last about 10 to 15 min's on pro level car. Track conditions affects too. On my RX7 little longer, light car and I had only 350hp

POST 7Original post

JIC had a 996-based drift car a few seasons back, it wasn't very competitive. Rear engine cars just don't work for drifting, the handling dynamics/physics aren't right.
