Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I did end up with the original bumper and rear deck lid/spoiler so maybe I'll see if I can find a buyer for those and use the money to pick up a GT3 front bumper at some future point.
Leading evidence: 'Use money' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use money' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I appreciate all the information I gained from this forum while engaged in my first 911 ownership quest over the last couple of months. I made my purchase a week ago. Here are some details about the car and some pic's. It's an '02 996 C2 6spd.
Remanufactured 3.6L Longblock with deep factory sump upgrade from Vision Motorsports (replaced at 70K - 3K miles ago)
Porsche OEM upgraded sport clutch (replaced at 70K miles)
Custom exhaust, engine install, and apparently most other modifications performed by Cantrell Motorsports
Suspension/Brakes/Wheels:
H&R Coilovers (RSS spec)
Porsche Cup Car Swaybars and adjustable end links
Factory Big Brakes with track pads
Calipers upgraded to Porsche Speed Yellow
OEM GT3 wheels -- 18"x8.5", 18"x11"
OEM GT3 rear spoiler/decklid
OEM GT3 rockers
OEM GT2 front nose/bumper/lower spoiler
Everything works great in the car. No surprises other than cheap interior parts & pieces compared to similar year BMW or Audi. It's one stiff riding *****' and raw feeling in a very good way. Looking forward to learning more from all of you over the course of my ownership. Waiting for the pumpkin abuse to start.
Nice indeed.
Curious; I thought GT3 wheels won't fit a nb 996. Was I wrong or is there a mod involved? They look fantastic on the car to be sure.
Don't have to answer of course if you think it's crass for asking, but what did you pay?
cheers
Not sure about any mod's for the wheel fit. I can tell you that full lock steering is out of the question due to inner fender liner rub, but you can get close. They don't touch the fender arch.
Nice car with some worthy upgrades. Looks like you did your homework and found the right car. As fly said above you have a turbo/4S bumper. The center cutout gives it away as turbos have a center radiator. Hey if u track the car you can easily add the 3rd rad now. I really like the wing and wheels as well. Enjoy it !
Colin does excellent work, I also suggest swinging By Chris's in Bellevue and getting acquainted. Your car would be more than happy there....
That's a beautiful ride!!
so what are your driving plans? I assume some track? Our PCA Calendar has been planned for the 2012 season and I would suggest getting plugged in...let me know if you need any contacts ni that regards...if you are quick there may still be slots open for the "Winter Skills day" Jan, 7th

love to see you out there! The DE season is only a couple months out and this year is going to be amazing with the Ridge now open we have 2 days out there!!!
See ya around
Ed
Yes they fit fine as the 996 and GT3 fenders and quarters are the same. Also agree with FLY, the proper bumper cover would look best. MK II Aero or GT3 are the same
Congrats!! Beautiful car. Enjoy it!
Is there a difference between a Turbo front bumper and a C4S front bumper? I thought they were one and the same.
-Eric
I love it, especially the color. I wasn't a fan of rear wings, but this looks nice with the turbo nose.
Welcome to the site, the guys here are great and have helped me more times than I can say.
+1 to what Steve said. I normally prefer the non aero cars but on this one the whole package really works. You must do some photography on the side because those are some nice compositions.
wow looks great! question what do you mean by "big breaks"? did nt you just change the caliper color, people will think you have the ceramic brake option, the yellow contrasts nice with the whole car and i would agree to look in on a gt3 front bumper for the complete aero package look! you should have no problem selling your current bumper,is it OEM ?.good luck nothing like a facelift 996 NB done up right, they look amazing.........im sure if you ask we can figure some more mods out for you.....LOL,good luck.
Nice setup Tiderace! The spoiler looks great and you have more downforce with it on too. I want to get a wing on mine just not sure which one there are so many styles available.
Hey Randy - your car looks great. Regarding the big brakes question, that description came straight from the advertisement for the car and I'm not sure that it designates any one particular brand or type of braking system. I see a lot of variations online when searching for "911 big brake kits".
I did end up with the original bumper and rear deck lid/spoiler so maybe I'll see if I can find a buyer for those and use the money to pick up a GT3 front bumper at some future point.
Welcome I think it looks great Love the current Aero look...well, except for the door handles! OMG they are obviously from an early '02. You should really update to the later '02-03 type handles to complete the "LOOK". Didn't the PPI note that?
We got all of the way to post #6 before deflating his new Porsche euphoria.
