Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
I purchased the car about 8 months ago. It's a 2002 c2 with 60k miles on it. I've put almost 10k miles on in 8 months.. I originally got it for $24k. The only issue I had was a CEL came on for the cats. I replaced with the Fabspeed x pipes. My latest change was painting the calipers red with the G2 system. Not a bad deal for 34 bucks : ) Love the car, it drives great!
Anyways, some bad phone camera pictures of the car.
One of the girlfriend too. She loves the car : )
Learned a lot from here in the last 8 months.
do you have an option code sticker under the hood?
there is a de-coder in the "general" section - or google the paint code, post a pic here someone will tell you
Thanks! No, one of the first things she told me was "she doesn't know how to drive a stick so I don't have to worry". If anything I'll have her practice on my old car first.
Seems like you're off to a good start! And by the way, the more mods you do to the car, the less likely your GF will even want to ride in it, unless she becomes a gearhead.
Good luck,
Chuck
Hopefully she'll want to ride in it. She insisted on taking her VW when we went to the coast and I was dying. All those coastal mountain roads were making me drool.
To be honest it's been fabspeed cats, 2nd gear detent, caliper paint, CAI, and Iphone adapter so far. Maybe a double din and I'll be done.
Nice Ride! Looks great, enjoy the miles and smiles...and when you are ready to do some mods...the 996 group will be happy to help you spend some money. Cheers!
I should have my GF drive it. One of my fondest memories when I was a kid was going to NYC and seeing a 911. I knew what it was since I grew up on Moter Trend and Road and Track. The young lady driver proceeded to floor it as she changed lanes to pass us. From ~10 mph to 60 in what seemed like 1 second to me! That was about the coolest thing.
So far I've had similar situations but on the other end. The other day I was talking to a 17 year old kid who had his first car (a GTI like I used to have), we talked about cars for about a half hour at the gas station. Two weeks ago one lady out by Bend, Oregon on our trip said "Excuse me!,. My husband wants your car!" lol
yea....done
you just wait, next its GT3 sway bars, lowering suspension, seats and better tires....maybe some pedals, and this remote control, that's all I need....
and this chair, that's all I need
I'm picking out a thermos for you Marc !!
OK Ryan, back on topic (and trust me I barely ever get off topic) - what....oh right PRI
$200 SEEMS like a lot and 4-6 hours seems like a little bit of time but the reality of it is the 30 days between track days is WAY to long and you will find $200... and the entry fee is the cheap part....then its mod between events, new fluids, tire temp checker, gloves, helmet, little things...but trust me, its worth the wait and its enough for one day. If your area have skills days they are a good way to fill in the gaps. @ $65 for a full day of lower speed training they are wicked fun and offer a relaxed atmosphere to explore the limits of your car... I have been to over 20 of them and plan to hit everyone this year along with some DE's as funds permit
you are in for a great time since you are smart enough to realize going to the track and getting some professional training is money and time well spent ! - congrats and welcome to the dark side
