Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No question I just found this odd. I can't find Michelin PS2 tires in 285/30/18 anywhere but the P-Car dealer. All other sources including tirerack say either unavailable or discontinued. Tirerack rep was rather candid and said they see this occasionally with Porsche and N spec tires. He went on to say that when it happens it rarely changes back.

POST 2Original post

The tires are out there, just hard to get at times. Please call me, I'll see what I can do.

POST 3Original post

if Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star specs are available in your size...go with those! Best street tire I've ever driven if you don't mind the fact that it probably won't last too long compare to others.

Not available in that size. I've tried already.

POST 5Original post

Consider Bridgestone RE050 or RE011, great tires the 050 are now on my 997.2 C4S. Excellent wet grip and quieter than the Michelin.

POST 6Original post

If anybody "finds" them for you, be sure to check the date codes before you plunk down the ol' Mastercard. It's sometimes worth a premium for fresh tires, if the cheaper option has already aged a year or two.

+1 on the RE050's. Very nice tire at a good price. What extra dry grip the PS2's might get you will likely never be made use of on the street.
