Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Great to hear, I was told by another member one needs to drain coolant and disconnect hoses from radiator to pull that front bar out.

Will sway bar simply swirl out or does it require to disconnect all the hoses etc?

3 adjustment points, last run I had it on stiffest hole - got too much oversteer, mid hole was fine but it obviously needs front GT3 bar as well then you`ll have 4 adjustment holes in front bar and 3 holes in rear bar to work with.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had no luck finding that on 997 forum, should be same on 996 cars I guess - could anybody give some pointers on this process?
I am not quite sure what should be dismounted there, did not yet even take plastic pieces off to investigate. I see a lot of parts there in the mid of the car.
Will sway bar simply swirl out or does it require to disconnect all the hoses etc?
Thanks, Paul
its a bit of a pain
you have to remove the plastic up front which is help on by some wierd clips that are easy to break or bend since they are tough to remove. Then you have to remove the front support bar which is angled to the sides... the sway bar is mounted on top of another bar that you neeed a big breaker bar to get off... after that its just the 2 brackets and drop links, a little wiggle/jiggle and its out... took about an hour and a 1/2 having no instructions and never doing one before (no my back litterally in the pouring rain)
man I wanted those on there!
oh that one bar with the 2 large bolts on one end, I just loosened the bigger bot and rotated that out of the way IIRC it is attached to something I didnt think i wanted to remove
Rear GT3 sway is very nice. 3 adjustment points, last run I had it on stiffest hole - got too much oversteer, mid hole was fine but it obviously needs front GT3 bar as well then you`ll have 4 adjustment holes in front bar and 3 holes in rear bar to work with.

so, front suport bar should come off... do you know by any chance torque numbers for its bolts?
well mine was a 99' what year are you doing it on?
and I doubt you have to pull all that stuff
BTW P-cars are designed to be worked on (for the most part) and its just tough for me to believe that level of tear down would be needed to swap a sway bar
yea, me too
I swear its so simple (though not entirely "easy" that you wont need a manual...the hardest part is removing the plastic underbody, and loosening a couple of those larger bolts (and reaching the center of the car for the angled support bars)
what suspension do you have?
as you can see from other thread I was about to put JIC cross COs instead of stock shocks, also got GT3 LCAs on and on rear end - GT3 sway with tarett droplinks. also need to put rear toe links from tarett.
I wonder BTW - do I need new droplinks for front if I will lower the car or will stock front droplinks still work with GT3 bar?
