Suggestion
after the brake lining sensor light on the dash came on during the second run, I was worried I'd be on my fastest trip from 3000 feet to sea level...
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good evening! We're going to have another Temecula road tour starting in Escondido and ending up in Temecula
ON OCTOBER 10TH
Early start 6:30-7am, little driving here and there. We'll end up at
Leonesse Cellars Winery (LINK)
at about 10 am. I am fortunate enough to have a
wife
who works there who will be giving us a
complimentary
private tour of the winery, barrel room and production facility. She'll be blocking off the parking lot next to the tasting room so we can fit in there and get some photos of all the cars, if the wives/GF's want to meet you there they can park in the other lots (unless they have a nicer car than you). Previously we have had some great turnouts! (I know of some pretty hardcore show stopper cars coming already!)
The run will be figured out that day but normally will fit into the 3 hours. (It's pretty exciting. I've had people say that it was the best fun they ever had in their Porsche!)
When we get to the winery we will have time to socialize and take photos. From there we'll go on the wine tour. The tour is
complimentary
, however, if you chose to try some handcrafted award winning wine as we walk through, it would be $12 (I couldn't get her to bend on that part)...... But I want everyone to know that if you chose not to sample wine, it's perfectly fine. The only expectations are that we're there to meet up, drive, take photos, and have fun. Some of the guys are meeting wives, girlfriends at the winery at 10am for the tour too. There is also a restaurant there that opens for lunch, I'll be there for lunch....
If interested PM or post, I'll give more details to the folks that want to know.
Oh man, so fun! But I have a wedding to go to on the 10th!! I'm bummed.
How often do you do things like this? I'll definitely be up for the next one when it comes around.
Count me in! I missed the last one because my car was still in the shop getting a facelift, but this date looks open. Please keep us posted!
Thanks,
Rudy
Tell your wife that more than half the marriages end up in divorce, you guys'll hit the next one. Normally they are annual, I've added this fall on and will most likely do them in the fall since the vineyard looks nicer then...
I'll keep you posted.
What are these letters? Initials of drivers?
I'm due for a run but I won't make this one. It has been almost a year, if not more since my last one with you (Ed) and my friends. *sigh*
I'm still bummed I can't make it due to this wedding I have to go to, but I at least got to drive my buddies 355 around San Diego this past weekend!! Awesome.
So where are we meeting in Escondido and what time? And if for some reason I miss the run, but still want to meet up with you guys in Temecula, what's your best guess as to when you would make it to the winery?
Looks like it's going to a very respectable event - thanks for your efforts in getting it all together.
Rudy
Ok anyone who wants to go and I haven't returned a PM or are interested in going, shoot me a PM.
I've lost count on the cars but there's about 15+ Porsches, 8 Ferraris, 2 Lotus and a Maserati. Woohoo!
Well that was a bit of fun today. I hope everything went well after I left the winery, I think it might have been a little more relaxing than soccer games. My photos seem all blurry so if you guys have some good photos let me know!
Hey Ed!
Just want to say thanks again for organizing this run. It was a great route - my fastest trip from sea level to 5000 feet without wings. Good bunch of people and some really amazing cars... and best regards to your wife for hosting the destination event. Thankfully no issues or casualties (anyone find out what happened to the Exige guys?) were experienced.
Funny things ran through my mind on the way up... mostly regrets for not changing the oil like I wanted to beforehand... and every turn had me wishing I had checked the tire air pressure and re-torqued the wheel lugs after installing the spacers last weekend. Fortunately it only took me a day to work the blood back into my knuckles... after the brake lining sensor light on the dash came on during the second run, I was worried I'd be on my fastest trip from 3000 feet to sea level...
Thanks again - looking forward to the next one!
Rudy
Hess Collection - There isn't really a tour here, but really good wine
It's more a nice drive up the mountain to the winery with a good tasting. The main attraction here is the art museum.
