Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Use re71rses now' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use re71rses now' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Perhaps some of you have experienced some of these days ... and if not this is a fun story to share.
We have a pretty good track - Area 27 - locally and earlier this may I signed up to instruct at a PCA event there. The track is about 400km from where I live and I've been itching to take the 996 on track since I've been upgrading it. Since I was there instructing, a perfect time to sneak in some shakedown laps.
The drive there is beautiful and worth it on its own. The morning was dry at first and had a great time instructing in a 992 with a super enthusiastic student.
However soon things got wet and I was on a pretty worn A052 - this meant standing water was a no go and the 996 got some photos instead in the parking lot below the paddock.
The way home is when things got interesting. It was fairly steady rain but I found some back roads that were fun at low speeds. Gritty and wet, but so much fun. Finally, about 250km away from home and in a surprising dry patch started to hear some banging under the car. Pulled over to find the sway bar endlink has completely separated from the shock body! These PSS10s were going to get replaced with a set of Motons I have at the shop - well now that's going to push this much sooner. Pulled over and pulled off the other endlink on the side of the road.
Then it really started to pour. The front end was loose at higher speeds and the rear end 315s kept dancing over every little bit of standing water. At one point I accidentally triggered the headlight washers which of course had the plastic cover fly over the car. A quick U-turn and actually retrieved the piece
.
Finally made it home. An adventure. Can't wait to get the Motons on and then ACTUALLY get some track time. It's these adventures with the machine that makes the ownership memorable. Looks like the endlink is salvageable as well
Wow. That's an extremely long day with weather, tires and suspension. But you made it. Looking forward to hearing about the Motons and what you do for your next set of tires.
Been thru the tire weather thing a number of times with the original Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and then with Toyo Proxies. Using RE71RSes now. But haven't been in bad weather yet to see how they respond. So far they have been great 200w track tires in the dry.
It's a difficult tradeoff when you have lots of rain and we've had a lot of it this spring. I really like the A052s but I burn through them in the rear after about 3000-4000km so I may look for something a bit longer lasting.
Not entirely familiar with the c4(s) front struts but isn't the drop link attachment bolt also used to clamp the shock body into the hub carrier?
Are the uniballs moving freely and without play in the drop link?
