But still, when I'm listening with the car not moving or even without the engine running, the stereo in the C4S sounds much better.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it me or does the Bose stereo in the 2004 C4S sound much better than the Bose stereo in my 2006 Boxster S? I would think that there would have been 2 years worth of improvements. I know I'm comparing a sound system from a coupe vs. a convertible. But still, when I'm listening with the car not moving or even without the engine running, the stereo in the C4S sounds much better. Does anyone else who may have experience in both have the same thought?

Yep... plus... does it matter? I'd rather drive the car than cruise like a grandma while listening to jazz.

Hey, when did you see me driving my Honda?!?!?!?!

I enjoy the sounds of the car as well but sometimes you just need to blast some metal and drive in anger!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7107730

Yeah, I was expecting this to be the case...while driving. But not when the car is stationary. But now that I think of it, the door speakers of the C4S is much bigger and produces a much fuller sound.

It's a concert hall over the stereo in the F355. But then the engine sound of the F355 does sound really good. Great car to drive when you want to do some stress relief.
