Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Discussions that performed work without a confirmed outcome
1

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Performed · outcome unconfirmed

Honestly, I like it, but it just doesn't get used much.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Durametric Diagnostic software Hello everyone I am new to R L. I was looking to purchase this kit but I want some input. Frank

POST 2Original post

Saved me time in troubleshooting. Defintiely worth the few hundred $.

POST 3Original post

A search will turn up quite a bit of info, but I have it and am very happy with it. There are less costly readers, but the Durametric has more features, so it depends what you need. Welcome to Rennlist!

POST 4Original post

I've only used it to turn off the air-bag light after removing the seat, and to diagnose and engine misfire. I'm super happy with it!

POST 5Original post

considering the price it is worth it. lots of interesting information can be read.

POST 6Original post

It is a must if you have or plan on modding...if not you may go cheaper or leave the diagnostics to others.

POST 7Original post

As mentioned, it will erase codes(CEL) and erase airbag light(which mine won't).Welcome to a great forum with lots of good advice from Porsche owners.

POST 8Original post

It is great. I have the 3 car license, and I have 3 Porsches. It is especially good for Cayenne's with the maintenance indicator. If you only need to get rid of CEL, then there are some for <$50 that can work.

POST 9Original post

AAA+++........paid for itself the first time I used it..........Buy It! C'ya, Patrick

If you are getting loads of CELs or live far from a shop, get one. Otherwise, pay 30 bucks for the cheapest reader until you NEED the durametric. That's what I did. Honestly, I like it, but it just doesn't get used much. IMO, you need it for specialty stuff, but for most things (like generic CEL codes) it's just too expensive. I keep a cheap code reader I leave in the car so I don't have to lug my laptop around. It works just fine for the very infrequent CEL. -td
