Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

the price is obo
No Offense, but you will probably get more replys if you lowered your price. A 99 w/35k+ miles on it and 5 owners should be in the sub-40 range. It is a beautiful car nonetheless and very tasteful mods. Guards red is pretty rare on a 996!
looks that way from the car-fax report.
1st owner put about 10k miles on it, 2nd about 7K miles, 3rd about 4k miles, 4th about 9K miles.
i'm the 5th the forth is a friend of mine. i've put about 5K on it
No offense taken & i'm not desprate to sell it either. i know the 3.4 996 market is in the gutter right now. it has been suprising even in the last 4 months with the drops. But hey it might flatten out, it might not for a while. dunno
No reason to loose my shirt when i can drive it for a few years while the warrenty is in effect, then make it a track car (which was my orignal plan). The vintage 911 race car can wait (which is why i am offering it for sale).
If it dosen't sell, it dosen't sell.
Yep, you got it. I guess it's a bit different than doing some thing "responsible" with the proceeds
Plus the Cup will a street car from now on, good for a few kicks.
I can vouch for Rob and his car. I got to take a look at it in-person and Rob took me for a test drive.
It's incredibly beautiful and well-maintained. Rob is a true Porsche fan.
I agree on the pricing as the others have expressed.
Rob, the price is definitely on the high side and I know you are well aware, but just know that you are essentially putting yourself in a position to keeping that thing for a while which ain't all that bad. If you want to move on though, you need to set it at a more realistic price point. But hey, if someone buys for over $40K, more power to you!
Cheers,
Ben
Rob,
Possible interest here. I am looking for exactly your car, suspension done, ect to make as a my DE car and weekend ride. I will be sending a PM to ya!
i agree keeping it isn't all that bad Plus my wife really likes this one, she put up with a cross country trip in the A/C-less cup car, and likes riding in the 356 but doesn't feel safe in it. if we can make it a win/win it's all good. were pairing down the Fleet (currenlty at 5 cars) before building it back up again (with a race car it would be 6, yoa'zzers)
Just as a side note most of the interest in the car has come from locals via the autotrader and other classified ads sources (micronewsads.com) not here. and given that i am reasonably priced compaired to the local exotic car traders and dealers in the area, it might go.
either way there is still fun to be had (in the 996 or a vintage race car)
Supply and demand perceptions can be quite interesting... depending where you look. I think the consensus here is one of over-supply, resulting in a perceived buyer's market. However, here in Chicago, a search through any of the grocery store periodicals yields very few 996's... especially aerokit cars. Given that most buyers AND owners are not on these sorts of forums, local supply and demand may dictate a price MUCH different from the forum consensus.
Just another thought... there seem to also be a lot of people on this board from California, where it seems that local supply is far greater than a place like Chicago or Seattle... the sampling of population on this board is not necessarily a good proxy for resale values in areas where supply/demand is not so far out of whack???
In any case, nice car... probably won't sell at the best value on this forum...
i agree with you. the post to Rennlist was a "just in case" i did not expect it to go in these enviorns actually.
Thanks for all the nice commets and i guess everyone knows were i stand on this one
