Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check mufflers and they are fine' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'good idea' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust parking brake' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Look at Van's video on rear brake replacement, he shows how to adjust the parking brake.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
This particular rattle that is coming from both left and right of the rear wheel area is irritating me to hell. It sounds almost like a jingle or some screws/coins shaking but the rattle does not show itself unless i go over a bump.
Anyone have suggestions on what maybe the cause? I checked the mufflers and they are fine.
Cheers
do your wheels have Metal Valve Stems?
My Champions have Metal Valve Stem and while i was in Montreal for F1 Weekend 2009 i had a similar Rattle/Noise. Drove 600km to Montreal from Toronto and Drove in and around MTL that Weekend and Drove 600km Back to Toronto. Took it to the Dealer. They found the Nut for the Metal Valve Stem off the Stem and bouncing around inside of the Tire/Wheel. Replaced and noise Gone...
You have to literally go around the rear end and with a rubber mallet start gently hitting things and distinguish what part has any play. If it only makes noise over bumps, there's something loose. Focus on clamps and fasteners.
The rattling does not seem to even come from there. When i am standing outside beside the car, asking my dad to drive over the bump the rattling seems like its coming from the wheel area.
This may be far off, but I had a rattling coming from the rear wheel area also and it ended up bring a bad catalytic converter. The CEL eventually came on, but until it did I had no idea what it was.
Go under the car and bang on the cats and see it they make a noise. It will sound like bolts in a can.
Its definitly the parking brake guys. Hell yea ... Gonna get it fixd up on monday.
Right now i m thinking of getting a used CAI or HAI (Hot Air Intake) and a 200 cell Cat. Does anyone know if i will pass emissions with a 200 cell cat?
Cheers
