Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I can say I never looked at these before so I don't know if anything I did changed anything.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, I was fixing the spring on the front trunk latch today and after putting it all back together I noticed the LED which lights the ignition switch and the light in the mechanism where the memory seats and lever switches for the frunk and engine lids is staying on. I can say I never looked at these before so I don't know if anything I did changed anything. How long do these two lights say on for? What sensor causes them to go on and off? This is a '02 C4 cab, in case it matters. Thanks for any help.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just looked it up, all the lights I'm talking about are called orientation lights. According the the owners manual, they go off-on when the car is locked-unlocked. I never lock the car in my garage and never noticed them berfore and I've never had any issues with my battery. Do they eventually go out?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Never mind. I just found the answer in another post.
