I have been looking for a replacement for my '03 CL600 V12 BiTurbo (daily driver). I am going to buy a Porsche (my 20th), but I can't decide which I want, so I thought i would have the community weigh in on my decision. Here is the deal, 40th Ann car, or 996TT assume that they both check out on PPI, and have about the same miles (mid 50's), both have sport seats, both are six speeds, both have no paint work and they are both within $2,000. I really like both of them, what would you do?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I think TT would be more fun.
TT, no question.
As long as they are both in good shape and well maintained it is a no brainer for me. I would go with the turbo.
aniv edition all the way... awesome car and real wheel drive as it should be :-)
TT for less than 2K difference.
TT all day, every day.
TT - no brainer
+1 on TT. FM
TT
Yeah, TT. Aside from the power, the engine is superior.
I would have to join the majority.... TT. Best buy out there....
I'd buy the turbo before the anniv. if the pricing is so close. Let us know which one you choose.
Anniversary pros LSD Lighter M030 susp Due to above, corners better Rare color, rare wheels Lots of options Maintenance cheaper Some mods cheaper TT pros Power No IMS WB chassis Awd for winter When I looked, a comparable TT was at least 5k more, so if truly comparable, your TT find may be a better deal I'm biased, and I love my 40th
Has anybody voted for the TT, yet?
I'm surprised, I knew if I posted this on the Turbo forum it would be all turbo all the time. I like rear wheel drive, I like the unique qualities of the 40th Ann car. But I am queer for forced induction. I thought it would be cool to celebrate my 40th year of Porsche ownership with a 40th Ann car. It looks like romance is dead, and the "hot chic" will win! 996TT for me!!!!! Thanks everyone, I'll post pics when I can close the deal.
*******.... Wait wrong forum. TT no hesitation.

Agreed! Get the one with the big *****.... which is the TT!
Is this a trick question? TT
TT every day, no question.
How was the Benz? +/- ? Maintence costs? TT not even close
I woulds say GT3. :-) Can't you find one for the same money as the TT?

thats a diff ball game.... gt3 for sure. gt3 are asking $10k+ more for you pocket, and they are only a few of them.
40th Ann car, or 996TT not even a question.... TT fo shore!

The Benz is a super car in a blue suit. Maintenance is no problem with an extended warranty. It is for sale $21,000 firm (really cheap) with warranty for another year and about 12k miles. You guys on the 996 forum are a riot I have enjoyed your input. Thanks!
Get a TT, then rebadge it as a 40th anniversary. Problem solved.
