Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Adjust accordingly' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust accordingly' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I made a conscious choice to stay with the stock ride height because of the crappy roads around here and the way I use the car.

I have to agree that using the stock springs with this setup is the best way to go for a daily driver in the city.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes, I'm interested in knowing how you like them. It looks like they are the sport version based on the part numbers. What springs are you using?
Would these be okay with the stock springs?
These were straight up replacements for the stock units, and I kept the stock springs. I made a conscious choice to stay with the stock ride height because of the crappy roads around here and the way I use the car. The job of a damper is to keep all four wheels on the pavement as much as possible, and a lower, stiffer setup just wouldn't do it here.
The best way to describe the HD dampers is that they do what the stock pieces should have done all along. Like any well engineered gas shock, they're very compliant over small stuff, with a natural rising rate as they compress. So on the road, they take the edge off expansion joints and little pavement irregularities very nicely, but when you load them up they become firm and stable, and a little more so than the stock pieces did. I found the stock shocks a little less compliant, and to become harsher more abruptly without giving you any more motion control in the bargain (this is by comparison).
I found that the whole suspension worked better, even in braking where the compliance allowed weight to transfer more naturally. But having said that, I should point out that my OE shocks were toast, so I really don't have a valid basis for comparison there.
What the HDs will not do is prevent the bobbing sensation you get in fast corners on irregular pavement. However, I find this an acceptable tradeoff for knowing that the rubber will stay on the road. The motorboating makes me much less nervous than the hopping you can get with a stiffer shock on real world roads under the same circumstances. If you want to fundamentally change the handling character of the car, the HDs won't do it for you.
I adore the look of a lowered 996 with more rake than the North American cars got, don't get me wrong. I'm always a bit jealous when I see one. But I really believe the HDs were the right tools for the job in my case, a 4-season daily driver on Canadian roads with no real track ambitions.
Hope this is helpful.
I have to agree that using the stock springs with this setup is the best way to go for a daily driver in the city. Adding sway bars/PL's will eliminate the bobbing on irregular curves and you can keep your spinal cartilage intact.
