Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Another update...I went by my indy shop (European Road and Racing in North Charleston, SC) today to offer to pay for the MAF diagnosis since he took a look at the codes w/the Porsche computer as well as double checked my coolant reservoir install for free on another trip and, with his arms stuck in a Ferrari 308's engine compartment, he said, "don't worry about it, your loyalty is worth more than the diagnosis." Good guys over there.

Just an update...cleaned the MAF on Thursday night and I'm going on 5 days w/out the CEL, which is longer than it has ever gone before.

As far as resetting the codes, I just disconnected my battery for a couple minutes.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's like $150...let me do some searching and I'll find you a link.
All you need is a tamper-proof T15 torx to change it out.
**Edit...I guess I paid more like $160 for mine. My car was a '99 non-egas car so that makes a difference.

call sunset - they sell them....compare the price - this is one of the only part swap out jobs that can nearly be done just by thinking about it...........
...and to be honest I feel a little obligated since he took the time to diagnose it for free. Great and well respected guy. Never charges me a dime for diagnosis.
As I pulled back in to the office these were my thoughts exactly.
I will also do a search on cleaning the MAF since I've seen that mentioned a couple times.
Thanks for all the advice. Did anyone come up with the link for the less expensive MAF?
Thanks again,
Don

The bosch part (which porsche rebrands) sells for roughly half of the cheapest price you'll find for the Porsche branded Mass Air
I got the same codes P1128 and 1130 (read them with my $99. code reader) I cleaned the living sh** out of the MAF with CRC electronic cleaner and it never threw those codes again!!
6 months now.
Pull it out and clean it.
Cracked a Boddington and cleaned the MAF tonight. Hell, I was done before I got half way through my beer and I drink those babies fast. Thanks for the input guys and thanks for the link Dharn 55. If I need a new one I'll check that out. I hope the cleaning works.
PS If you think $415 was bad the local Porsche stealer, Baker Auto here in Charleston, wanted $873 for the part and $9XX including installation. Those guys suck.
Just bought one here:

Original Bosch part delivered in sealed Bosch box. Price is about $240. USD

Yes I do!! I just spend too much time here.
As far as resetting the codes, I just disconnected my battery for a couple minutes. In the past I've had Advanced Auto do it as well as my indy...for free.
