However, the available sizes are not "stock." The change does not seem like much, but will it have much change?

Actually, the HTZ3's are what I have been running (225/40/18 and 265/35/18).

The NT05 seem like they could be a good tire option and a great deal right now on ebay (see below - plenty for everyone that might want a set...).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
A questions regarding: Nitto NT05 - 275/35/18 and 235/40/18
The NT05 seem like they could be a good tire option and a great deal right now on ebay (see below - plenty for everyone that might want a set...). However, the available sizes are not "stock." The change does not seem like much, but will it have much change?
For me, mostly street and a few DE's and lapping days in the summer these could be a great option. ...any thoughts, comments???
For a '99 C4 (wheels are stock "twists" 7.5" front and 10" rear?)
Will the ratio for the tire sizes be OK for the AWD, anti-lock and PSM?
BTW - These are on ebay from Discount tire "direct" for:
pair of 275/35/18 - $475
(free shipping, plus save an extra $38 using bing.com "cashback from ebay")
pair of 235/40/18 - $313

BTW - If anyone is interested and does not know about the bing.com cashback program, let me know and I'll post some instructions/tricks/tips. It works for many items also and gets you 8% cashback when you use "buy-it-now."

Yes, cool link! Thanks!
So, the front tires would be 1.3% (25.1" to 25.4") taller and the rears wold be 1%(25.3" to 25.6") taller that stock using those sizes. It seems like that is not very much. My speedometer is already off by more than the "new speeds." However, how about any negative effects on the AWD or antilock brakes - or anything else?
On my C4 I have Sumitomo HTZ 3's. 225/40/18 front and 295/30/18 rear. I have done some DE (last track tomorrow actually) and trust me......the AWD and anti-lock brakes work very. I don't think you have a thing to worry about.
Actually, the HTZ3's are what I have been running (225/40/18 and 265/35/18). I have been reading good things about the NT05, but overall have been happy with the Sumitomos. I was considering making a change...
No problems in the rain for me, but I have a C4. The HTRZ3'S have been a great value and all-around summer tire (dry, rain, track). I just wondered if the NT05 would be a better tire...mostly on the track. It is not too much more $.
I've had the HTRz3's on the track for DE's about 4-5 times. they seem dependable but do seem to slide quite a bit. On the road though they are real good, and quiet.
