Had my 60K service done at my local P-Car dealer in Indianapolis. They changed the V-belt and other items. This was this past week. Today I'm doing a track day and after the first run coolant is leaking from 2 places under the motor. One is a hose and the other seems to be where 2 cast parts mate together. Both are withing 1" of each other and right next to the lowest point on the V-belt (pulley). What is taken apart when the V-belt is replaced? I think my dealer unknowingly made my situation happen. Going to the dealer in the morning.

Most likely is coincidental. I replaced belt on my 02 Boxster and shortly after water pump went bad. Water pump had oh I forget exactly how many miles on it call it 180K so it was not like it wasn't due. Water pumps can go bad at any time. 60K miles is not too early for a water pump to fail. Sometimes a coincidence is just a coincidence. Sincerely, Macster.

Well my 996 gave birth to a new water pump! Should get it sometime tomorrow. At least the dealer gave me a Cayenne to drive...........

For what the dealer charges they can afford to give you a 911 to drive. They wanted $1,000 for MAF and install.

M3 Defector, I read you're other post about that! (Congrats on your fix, I hope it stays that way!). 911 to drive? For that kind of money for something so increadibly simple, they'd better give your a freaking GT3 to drive!!
