When I purchased my 996 the previous owner had installed a Bluapunkt headunit and CD changer in the dash. The Headunit is nothing special and has been giving me some trouble lately so I'd like to swap it out. I have an Eclipse HU that I'd like to drop in but it's pre-amp outputs are RCA style fittings. Is anyone aware of a conversion cable that will move mate the RCA and hook up to the stock wiring. For that matter, what other brands of HU's have the correct fitting for our wiring harness? <--Never had much experience with Blaupunkt but I also never really associated the brand with high end audio. I could always drop in the Eclipse HU and wire in a new amp but I really don't feel like going through the trouble when I'm not that big of an audiophile. How good can NPR really sound?

You can just get a wiring harness for the stock amp. Email or call Rod Birch at www.caraudioinnovations.com and tell him you want to hook-up an aftermarket head unit to the existing amp.
