Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Some people will tell you that without replacing the schocks with "sport" (ie shorter), the orginal shocks will wear out much quicker.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an 01 C2 CAB and want to know what is the easiest way to lower it. Can i do just springs. Is this a do it yourself besides an alignment? What springs or set up does everyone recommend. I am going to do this on conjuction with new wheels. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Yes, you can do just the springs. Ideally you'd want springs and shocks/struts, but it all depends on what your budget allows. H&R springs are the most popular and prefered by many. A set can be had for just around $250. Install is pretty straight forward if you decide to DIY, it shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours. A shop may charge anywhere from $400-$800 plus alignment. An alignment is neccessary and by itself can run anywhere between $200-$300.

I lowered my 2004 C2 with using just the H&R springs and am very happy with the set up. Some people will tell you that without replacing the schocks with "sport" (ie shorter), the orginal shocks will wear out much quicker. I can't comment on that as I only have about 7,000 miles on the H&R's with no problems yet. Took my son and I about 3 hours to do it. Alignment was about $150.00.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So who has the best prices on springs??? I am also still looking for oem side skirts too....
