Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

OK guys... I was lucky enough to have someone point out this thread. I have spent the last few hours in complete shock.....this is worth sharing with you guy simply because you like cars and this is one hell off a car. I dont care who you are or how ugly you think this is, truely the most amazing thing (multiple things) I have seen beeing built for a Porsche Scroll thru all the pages, (page 8 and 10 ) there are some real shocking parts and there is a compilation of the threads regarding multiple stages of the progress anyone who doens find this amazing - PM me I will dial 911 for you because you need a difibulator or something - anyone fall over in shock, PM me and I will dial 911 for you too https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...ed-thread.html

POST 4Original post

wow.. wow.. the $$$$$$$$$$$$ that went into that..... pretty cool, thats for sure!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

its ugly - I'll agree... but machining your own torque converter out of solid Titanium?? What's that cost??

POST 6Original post

Ok... Purple and tiptronic? Amazing, love the hardtop ...yet... still...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ok ugly 2x did you see the intake on page 10? how about the control arms ? I dont even get it - like Jon said... the $$$$$$$$$

POST 8Original post

oh man.. I just spent a lot of work time looking over and over.. and sent the link to all of my porsche co horts.. simply wow. def a shame it will never be driven.. I think it should do one session at the ring. It may not be the most attractive color combo.. but it definitly needed something to set it apart being the entire car is so diffrent from the norm, it makes sense the appearance should be too.

It's bizarre, The parts are amazing! But, I dont get it either.... And I'm a guy who does not even like sense in the equasion whem it comes to to cars

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a block of Ti being quoted right now, will post what the raw material cost is for the torque converter (one side) I guessed 12 x 12 x 3 - just for fun

POST 11Original post

Stunning, the turquioz and purple go away for minimal $$$

POST 12Original post

Hey, I'm just wondering if the exterior is lapis or midnight blue?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LOL material for one side of the torque converter - est 12x12x3 inches of Ti $4800 not as bad as I thought, still that's before you start machining all those fins, polishing, welding, ballancing and on and on.... crazy money

POST 14Original post

speed costs money. how fast do you want to spend?

POST 15Original post

To spend that much money on an old car the guy must insane.. hence the purple and blue interior... At least I hope he will share the design for all those part and open an online store to sell those carbon fiber things.. This thing must have cost him 3 times what a 997.2 GT3RS cost... hard to justify... but that's his money !

POST 16Original post

I'm reminded of some saying about fools and money...

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8229102

one post said no parts will come from the project to be sold. Just engineering excersises.....

POST 18Original post

Ultimately, I was able to let go of my imaginary checkbook and just appreciate the mad genius. It was the carbon fiber air box that tipped me over the edge. This Crazy Cat is great for P Cars.

POST 19Original post

I'm thinking, at the end of the day, would of been cheaper to get a Veyron. More of an engineering ************ than an exercise. But, def ART!!!

POST 21Original post

The ultimate G.Q. Build your own Porsche GT ($250,000) piece of art.. and keep it in the Garage forever.

POST 22Original post

about the carbon intake... I am just impressed that this kind of worksmanship still exists. I wish he would share how it was done and by who. I mean the 3d computer thing ok, but buildint it ! amazing still. This guy should open a factory to rebuild fresh new 993 ..out of carbon fiber If they can sell Delorean ! I bet he can sell 993 !
