Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

I'll restate and say easy to clean except for where the calipers are.
Leading evidence: 'Clean except' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean except' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
I prefer the BBS SE because it's easy to clean outside and inside the rim.

I would not recommend them for a street car unless you love spending your time cleaning wheels.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking at wheels..... which one? Mostly street with occasional DE...
Would like your input.
1. OZ Superleggera III, 18x8.5 et44, 18x11 et63
2. BBS RE 18x8.5 et56, 18x10 et65
3. BBS LM 18x8.5 et56, 18x10 et65
The car...
^^^ if I can get the RE in 11" it would be a no brainer since its light and clean looking.... but BBS needs to revamp their sizing. It sucks it only comes in 10".
I'm guessing you like the intricate stuff on some of the wheels. I prefer the BBS SE because it's easy to clean outside and inside the rim. I think some guys with dark wheels don't know how much brake pads put on the inside of the rim every time they drive.
Even with dark grey insides on my rims I want them clean. I see your choices of rims are primarily silver. You are really going to see brake dust build up on silver. It gets real ugly when the built up dust gets wet and has drips of much. My choice again is #2 for no nonsense and easy to clean.

I like the OZ with the black face for looks/style...but the OZ's are heavy (25lbs on the front). Since you are looking at 18's performance must be more important so that leaves the RE and LM. LM has the looks/style while RE is technically better.
RE - 1 piece forged, LM 2 piece forged
RE - 20.2/22lbs, LM 22.5/24 (~9lbs total difference unsprung weight)
RE will look bigger because the spokes extend further toward the lip
RE will be easier to clean
I vote RE
What about CCW wheels for their cost/weight? The guys who track really like them. I would be interested in getting a set of CCWs and sell my 2nd set of sport designs.
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...track-use.html
I see you found some 305's.... they are almost extinct.
These are stock with spacers.... 225f/285r and 15mm front and 7mm rears
Oh.... I plan on keeping them
I looked at CCW's.... they are great track wheels, but found that the big names have bigger resale value.... Best thing about the CCW are its custom siziing. At the end of the day.... you will prob save $400-$700 if you go with them. But will get $$$ back if you re-sell big name wheels. If I tracked more, I would def buy them.
I have CCW Classics on my Z, they are great wheels, but they are a complete b*tch to keep clean. You need to hand polish the aluminum since there is no clearcoat, and the polish loves to stick to the anodized centers. I would not recommend them for a street car unless you love spending your time cleaning wheels.
